Laura Terronez is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Temporary) with a Masters degree in Family Therapy from Friends University. Prior to becoming a therapist, Laura worked as a Certified Child Life Specialist (CCLS) in various children’s hospitals, providing direct, real time support to children and families experiencing both chronic and acute medical events. Laura provides therapy from a systemic perspective, looking not just at the concerns of the individual, but the other factors and people that impact the individual’s life. Laura believes that all individuals have within them what they need to flourish, they just may need support to uncover these tools. Laura has a particular interest in play therapy as a developmentally appropriate and responsive resource for children in the therapy room and is engaging in continued education to pursue a Registered Play Therapist credential.
