Dani is a Licensed Master Social Worker who works with children and teens ages 3–18. She enjoys helping young people navigate anxiety, trauma, big emotions, behavioral concerns, self-esteem, life transitions, and other challenges that come with growing up.
With younger children, Dani primarily uses child-centered play therapy, creating a safe and welcoming space where kids can express themselves, process their experiences, and build new skills through play. She also incorporates more directive activities when helpful and is currently working toward becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT). With teens, Dani often incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) while focusing on connection, individual strengths, and meeting each teen where they are.
Dani believes parents and caregivers are an important part of the process and provides dedicated time each month to connect, discuss progress or concerns, and offer support and psychoeducation. She is also comfortable incorporating faith into therapy when it is important to the child or family.
Dani earned both her BSW and MSW from Fort Hays State University. Originally from Southwest Kansas, she enjoys spending her free time with her husband and their two dogs.
